With the current growth of the molecular IVD market, this pivotal role will see you manage the B2B sales of the company’s products and solutions to IVD developers in EMEA.
Core responsibilities as Business Development Manager - Molecular IVD - EMEA
  • Responsible for all major OEM customers in EMEA
  • Manage relationship and contracts with key OEM customers
  • Demonstrate ability to identify, advance and close new business opportunities in the diagnostic sector by creating and executing a strategic business plan
  • Initiate and develop dedicated customer relationship with multiple functions (such as R&D, production, procurement, marketing, QA, regulatory affairs etc.)
  • Lead customised projects for customers liaising with all internal resources
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant products and marketplace. Identify markets trends
  • Identify, prepare and attend key meetings linked to molecular IVD
  • Participate in regular discussions with global business development team by sharing selling tactics, best practices and market feedback

In order to apply you should meet all or most of the following criteria:
  • Minimum MSc in molecular biology. Advanced degree in science or MBA a plus
  • 1-3 B2B years sales and deal-making experience from the life science sector, especially molecular IVD
  • A strong network in the diagnostic industry and knowledge of regulatory environment is a plus (CE-IVD and other certifications)
  • Experience in negotiating agreements with industrial customers
  • Experience in generating sales growth in the molecular IVD business
  • Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers)
  • Experience selling into multiple levels within an organization (bench scientists, purchasing, directors, VP, CFO/CEO)
  • Strong verbal and written English. Additional European language a plus
  • Interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • MUST be based in France or Germany or UK or Belgium
