A strategic opportunity has arisen for a senior sales executive with proven success in all aspects of value-based, solution selling to the healthcare and / or diagnostic (pathology) sector. The company are successful in offering complex solutions to a demanding customer base and now need a Strategic Accounts Manager to develop business in a range of existing and prospective strategic customer accounts across the Midlands and parts of Northern England.
With each account worth in excess of £1.5 m the role demands a powerful and respected presence to meet and negotiate with NHS and other healthcare executives at the highest level. Whilst you will have no direct reports, you will be supported by a large team of sales, technical and operational specialists so your past experience of working with cross-functional teams will be put to good use to ensure all targets are met. In effect you will spearhead all business activity for both customer retention and new business.

In order to apply you should meet all or most of the following criteria:
To be seriously considered you MUST have held a senior executive level position coupled with solid financial acumen. You should have the ability to effectively communicate, speak in public, and adapt to rapidly changing environments. You display strong leadership skills, and have a proven record of negotiating successful at board level. Experience of Managed Service Contracts and Solution Selling to the NHS or Private Sector is PIVOTAL to this role. Candidates from the medical devices industry will be seriously considered!
