As the Tender Specialist, your primary role is to complete and manage the technical specifications and the clarifications for all tenders the company responds to. This includes answering all technical questions (solution-specific, implementation, training, validation, accreditation and contract management) and writing sales tools as required.
Core responsibilities as Tender Specialist – Clinical Microbiology – UK Wide
  • Complete the technical specifications for the Clinical Tenders & Managed Service Contract Process
  • Take full responsibility for the preparation and return of documentation in response to a tender. Coordinate all parties involved in the tender process, ensuring each party knows what is required in line with project timescales
  • Create, manage and maintain a question bank for tender responses
  • To answer all technical responses related to service, quality, application, support, IT
  • To support the commercial teams in the promotion, preparation and maintenance of Managed Service Contracts & Tenders
  • Back up to the sales manager and tenders and contracts manager during meetings with prime contractors

In order to apply you should meet all or most of the following criteria:
  • Experience in the diagnostic or contract business
  • Higher scientific (or Business) education, good knowledge and understanding of Clinical Microbiology or Virology/ Molecular techniques
  • Skills and qualification: Knowledge of MS Office, able to understand Microbiology/ Virology, Workflow, analytical thinking, strong communication skills
  • Need to be enthusiastic & highly committed to succeed with excellent organisation & planning skills
  • Advanced Excel, reporting skills essential
  • Good organisational skills and able to work alone well as a team player
